I understand you all just completed your meeting - I hope you’re as enthusiastic as I am with the recent updates. Previously I shared you all a message, I mentioned the following: “I believe in this team. You all are some of the most dedicated and creative creators we have had the pleasure to partner with - and we’re excited for that collaboration to endure.”

With your dedication and flexibility, particularly over the past twelve months, you consistently demonstrate that.

The gamer responses from last autumn’s Project ETHOS demo was informative. It confirmed the promise of a action-packed game but made clear we still had refinements needed. It revealed the necessity for a clearer identity.

The progress is encouraging to see how far you’ve come. You accepted the input to mind and overhauled the title with a renewed vision - one that’s poised to achieve its promise to our players.

The belief in Project ETHOS strengthens every day. To further the remarkable progress you’ve made, I am thrilled to introduce the new hire as the new Director of 31st Union. After several months of discussions, he starts with us on Monday, October 20.

His management and expertise in the competitive gaming field is extensive, having spent the last 15 years creating and managing some of the most popular series in the industry, for example Call of Duty: Black Ops, and most recently, the battle royale hit.

The appointee presently serves in the position of executive producer and production lead at the renowned studio for Apex Legends. He earlier was employed at Treyarch and Activision in various production roles on the Call of Duty games, and, before that, had stints at 2K and Electronic Arts.

Game Details and Concept

The upcoming game was announced in October 2024 together with a community playtest. At the time, 31st Union presented the game as a "free-to-play, third-person perspective roguelike hero shooter and an exciting evolution on the genre."
