I will overwhelm 'credible boxer' Jake Paul - Joshua
The British boxer will face the American YouTuber in an eight-round match which will be streamed in real-time on the streaming platform.
British boxer Anthony Joshua said he will "overwhelm entirely" Jake Paul and "overpower" the American as the two fighters confronted each other to publicize next month's heavyweight fight.
Former two time world title holder Anthony Joshua meets social media star turned fighter Paul - in what is, theoretically, a mammoth mismatch - at Miami venue on December 19th.
Fighter's Attitude
"I will injure his face and damage his physique. I'm here to prove my superiority," the British boxer, 35 years old, stated.
"I plan to overwhelm him. That's a fighter's mentality.
"I will seriously aim to injure him. That's my intention."
Civil Interaction
Despite those words, a calm Anthony Joshua and internet personality Paul - normally famous for his dramatics - exchanged pleasantries and remained civil with each other.
Paul instead criticized former Joshua rival Francis Ngannou and labeled him "ridiculous" after the Cameroonian rejected a match opportunity.
Targeting Fury
Anthony Joshua, meanwhile, took aim at British opponent Tyson Fury - and rejected a million-pound wager 'The Gypsy King' says he will place on a Paul victory.
"Jake Paul is better than Fury - he's present here," Joshua commented.
"I respect him for that."
Legitimate Opponent
In spite of saying he intends to damage his opponent, Joshua refused to comment unfavorably about his opponent's boxing ability.
"Jake Paul is a credible opponent," he remarked.
Paul's Background
Paul - who originally gained popularity on the television network - has primarily fought MMA fighters or declining opponents since entering professional boxing.
He lost to Briton Tommy Fury in last year.
Commercial Attraction
Still, the novice remains one of the sport's biggest commercial attractions, regularly earning massive earnings.
Forecast and Confidence
The 28-year-old anticipated a stoppage in the fourth or fifth round and stated he would derail the much-anticipated Joshua–Fury fight, which is apparently in the works for 2026.
"It's going to be me versus Tyson Fury next year," Jake Paul declared.
